About

Originally a British styled brass band, the AAB once had a membership of 40 players and we are desirous of rebuilding our band with players from either a brass band or concert band background, and also happy to see learners start from scratch. We currently have both brass and woodwind students.

With a variety of good gospel, secular and Christmas music in our library and 42 sets of music folders, we are able to cater for most brass band and concert band musicians and present quality programs. Our band library does not cater for soprano cornet, bassoon or French horn, although these instruments could be featured in special stand- alone arrangements if desired. Our band library does cater for tenor trombonists in both treble and bass clef ie 1st & 2nd trombone.

A keyboard and stage organ are used to strengthen our band and add variety. For individual musical presentations we often use pan-pipes, accordion, violin, acoustic guitar and vocalists. Small group presentations are encouraged for both learners and advanced eg duets, trios, quintets etc.

Our Patron is Pastor David Butcher and Chief Financial Officer, Kaye Zyderveld. We are sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, South Australian Conference, with the head office being at Prospect.
